What is VJBL?

The Victorian Junior Basketball League (VJBL) is Victoria's elite competition, showcasing the best junior athletes across the state.

Featuring age groups from U12 to U20, the league runs on a graded structure from Victorian Junior Championship (VC) to Regional competition.

The Bendigo Junior Braves proudly hit the court with teams in the U14, U16 & U18 Boys and Girls, representing our region with intensity, passion and pride!

For the Junior Braves, the VJBL is about pushing ourselves, competing at the highest level and giving our athletes exposure and development opportunities they deserve.

Sponsorship & Costs

Athletes that are selected for the VJBL season (who will also compete in some tournaments) have estimated club fees of $910.00. 

On top of this, athletes will benefit from securing an elite pathways sponsor. If families are unable to provide an elite pathway sponsor additional fees will occur. 

These costs cover the following;

  • Bus Hire (Post Grading Period Only)
  • Bus Fuel
  • Sponsor Banner
  • Game Sheet Fees
  • Long Sleeved Warmup Tops

Elite pathway sponsors are then provided with;
  • 1x sponsors Night to the Senior Braves NBL1
  • General Admission membership to NBL1 Bendigo Braves Home Games
  • Logos on the back of an athletes warmup top
  • Business promoted through Stack Team App & Bendigo Jr Braves Majristri site
  • Sponsorship placement on the base of some emails out to the club and community
  • Banners displayed at VJBL home games

Shot Clock Changes

Shot Clock changes for the 2024/25 season are:
  • U16-U20 VC and VC Reserve, 24 shot clock, with 14 second shot reset where available
  • U16-U20 VJL1 and below, 24 shot clock in all divisions. No 14 second shot reset
  • U14 VC – VJL2, 24 second shot clock. Shot Clock starts when ball is in the front court, no 14 second reset.
